The Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV), including the Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) and the Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV), is indispensable in the field of marine science, underwater targets detection, etc, for safeguarding marine rights and interests. Thus, the UUV has drawn worldwide attention and plenty of efforts have been made to improve related technologies This work reviews the development and applications of the UUV. In addition, key technologies of the AUV and their prospects are also presented. |
